Pit Stop on the Way Home
For those of you who have kids, you know that traveling with kid (s) is much different. No more "we're only stopping to get gas and go to the bathroom and they better be done at the same time." Mommy and daddy stopped at McDonalds (it had a playpark) on the way home. They thought I should run around and tire myself out before the remainder of the trip.
This was my first meeting of Ronald and I wasn't sure what to make of him.

Dulles Town Center
Tonight, we headed to the Dulles Town Center. Mommy heard they had an Ann Taylor Loft. :-) We wanted to get out of the hotel so what better place to do it than a really big mall that we hadn't been to before.
As you can see in the pictures, I prefer the big people chair over the highchair. However, this one had a huge space in the back. So, I thought it'd be cool to get out of the chair using this big hole.
While waiting for daddy to put the stroller in the trunk, which is a huge task, I hung out in the front seat pushing and pulling all of the buttons and knobs.

Dinner with Mommy's Friends
Tonight we had dinner with mommy's friend, Tiffany. They used to work together but now Ms. Tiffany and Mr. Scott live in MD. Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed seeing your new home. I loved playing with Dixie!! Thanks for having us as your first dinner guests.
Mount Vernon
Our destination this morning was Mount Vernon. We enjoyed the walk to see the Mansion (at least the outside...too long of line to wait with me), Washingon's Tomb, the Fruit Garden and Nursery, the Wharf, the Pioneer Farmer Site the slave quarters. While vising the farm, I saw some sheep and we watched horses tredding. What is tredding? According to the Mount Vernon website, it is when horses would run around and around within the lane, treading the grain out of the wheat. After the presentation, I was able to pet one of the horses. Yipee! Did I tell you there were really steep inclines? And, they were gravel. I can't believe we didn't slip and fall.
By now, it was hot and I was getting huntry so we decided to leave. Mommy and daddy packed our lunch so we stopped at a park just outside of Mt. Vernon to have a nice picnic lunch. Yes, I didn't have a very nutritious lunch. All I wanted was corn chips and raisins. Mommy won't get mother of the year today.

Morning Routine on Vacation
It was hard being away and not having my typical morning routine; however, I adjusted. As you can see from the picture, I had my books to read (and mommy did pack Barney - hey, it's educational).

Saturday in DC
This morning, we got on the Metro to start our walking tour of D.C.
Our first stop, the Arlington Cemetery. One of daddy's ROTC friends in college was killed in Afghanistan on October 31, 2006. He wanted to pay his respects so we visited his grave. At one point, I heard mommy sniffling and think I even saw a tear in daddy's eye. Thank you for sacrificing your life for our great country; you are a TRUE American HERO!
From there, we crossed the Arlington Memorial Bridge to see the Lincoln Memorial. Oh yeah, did I tell you that I fell asleep while we were at the Arlington Cemetery? So, I didn't really see the Lincoln Memorial but mommy took a picture to document the occasion.
After the stop at the U.S. Capitol, mommy and daddy were hungry and mommy's feet were hurting, so we stopped for lunch at a little restaurant behind the Capitol; a great place to people watch. After lunch, we caught the metro and came back to our hotel. We were EXHAUSTED! We ordered pizza, salad and chicken wings for dinner. And finally, mommy and I were asleep by 7:15 pm. I'm not sure what time daddy crashed for the evening.

We walked down the reflecting pool to see the WWII memorial, Washington Monument, and then to the U.S. Capitol. Along the way, I did wake up only to need a diaper change and something to eat. We took a short break for me to have a picnic in the grass on the National Mall.

Friday Night Dinner
Tonight, we had a beautiful view of the Iwo Jima memorial as we ate a picnic dinner. Afterwards, we took a short walk to sit and enjoy one of the most spectacular sights: Our Nation's Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Jefferson Memorial.
I love planes and this one flew directly above us during dinner.

Crazy Crumbz Visits the Nation's Capitol
Mommy and daddy are taking me up north to see some cool things in our nation's capitol. Do we live in a fantastic country or what?

Dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery
Tonight we had dinner at the Rock Bottom Brewery. I had yummy buttered noodles and fruit for dinner. As you can see from the pictures, I'm just too big to sit in the high chair. Instead, I sat in the big person chair next to my daddy. After dinner, mommy and I played soccer (and some other cool games) in the mall.
CC's First Trip to DC
Yeah, we made it to our destination...Arlington, VA in what I believe is record time for my parents, especially with me. We left our house at 1:15 and arrived here at 4:15 (2 stops: gas and bathroom break).
I'll have mommy post pictures throughout the weekend. Here are a few of me...

CC says I love you!
Tonight after CC's bath we were reading books in her room. I told her that I loved her and asked to her to say it back; SHE DID! It's the cutest thing ever!

Sick Baby
On Friday, mommy and daddy took me to the doctor since I wasn't feeling well. It seems that I have a minor ear infection and cold. So, I'm on Amoxicillin for 10 days. I'm a real trooper: take my meds and let mommy/daddy use that syringe thingy to get snot out of my nose.
Anyways, I wasn't too sick that I didn't play over the weekend. Here are a couple of pictures of me (and yes, that's my Republican onesie).

Gotta love vericose veins (NOT)

Yesterday, I had Saphenous Endovenous Laser Therapy (that's a mouthful) done on my right leg. What does this mean? I hope it means that the vericose vein in my right leg (see picture) will be gone in several weeks. Technically, when you have this done, it's not supposed to hurt. In fact, I overheard the guy before me talking about how he felt nothing. Anyways, they gave me an Ativan to take 1 hour before the procedure and then they injected my leg in several places with some numbing medication. WHATEVER, it didn't work for me. I felt everything and for those of you who know me, I have NO pain tolerance. The doctor said the reason I felt everything is because the vein was so close to the surface. Next time (left leg), I want two Ativan. :-)
Right now, 9:00 am, my leg is swollen and throbbing and I'm not due another pain pill until 11:30 am. It's hard to stay off your feet and keep your leg elevated when you have a 14th month old. However, now that Amy is here, I've got my leg elevated and working from home. Thank you, Amy!

Our Little Presidents

For those of you who know us, you know we have our little President. Well, our friends, Pete and Madonna, also have a little President, Kennedy. Several months ago, I purchased each of them a onesie: Trust Me I'm a Republican and Trust Me I'm a Democrat. I'm sure you can guess which is which. Here are some pictures that I took on Saturday!

Sunday Gathering of Friends
Aunt Chandy organized a Sunday outing to the beach. However, the weather did NOT cooperate. So, we moved the party to our house. As always, the food was delicious and the company was GREAT! We even got in a game of Texas Hold em'!

Kennedy's Baptism
On Saturday, we attended Kennedy's baptism and party. As always, we had a fantastic time.
Saturday Morning at the Beach
This morning, mommy and daddy took me to the beach! It's definitely one of my favorite places to be. I love the way the sand feels in my bathing suit (just kidding).
