Franken Baby

So there is the baby, walking around like "Franken-baby", arms out stretched walking around all stiff legged kind of funny. She is even making funny Frankstein type noises!!! However she is much cuter!

I love my little Franken-baby!

Memorial Day

What is Memorial Day? The holiday got started on May 30, 1868, when Union General John A. Logan declared the day an occasion to decorate the graves of Civil War soldiers. Twenty years later, the name was changed to Memorial Day. On May 11, 1950, Congress passed a resolution requesting that the President issue a proclamation calling on Americans to observe each Memorial Day as a day of prayer for permanent peace and designating a period on that day when the people of the United States might unite in prayer. President Richard M. Nixon declared Memorial Day a federal holiday in 1971. Memorial Day is now observed on the last Monday of May. It is an occasion to honor the men and women who died in all wars. To celebrate Memorial Day, we spent the morning at the beach and the afternoon eating ribs with Aunt Chris and Uncle Larry! Happy Memorial Day and thanks to all the men and women who died for our freedom!

Future Cheerleader?

Sunday Outing

The weather was beautiful so mommy and daddy decided we should go to Yorktown. On our way there we stopped at Chili's for lunch; mommy wanted a quesadilla explosion salad. From there, we made our way to the Yorktown Riverwalk Landing. We parked the car, walked and played in the grass. It was a great time! On the way home, we stopped at Cold Stone Creamery (mommy and daddy had icecream while I slept in the stroller) and Bass Pro Shop (check out our new hats).

Strawberry Festival

Today we met Uncle Larry and Aunt Chris for lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. Afterwards, we decided to go to the Pungo Strawberry Festival. After six years of living here, none of them had ever been; what a shame. We drank rootbeer, ate corn-on-the-cob and shortcake, and daddy and Uncle Larry rode one of the rides. It was a lot of fun!

Funny Story

CC is quite the "boobie baby". Since she was born, I've used the boppy when I nurse her. Well, now that she's older (yes, almost a year) and bigger, she brings the boppy to me (or to the best of her ability) when it's "that time". When I put the the boppy on my lap she starts to giggle and gets very excited; it's the cutest thing. I'm not sure how I'm going to wean this one! I'm thinking a week-long vacation for me -- daddy and CC can hang out. :-)

No birthday picture in the Sink, Daddy!

You may remember that my parents like to take my "birthday" picture in the kitchen sink. Well, as I get older, I don't like it so much!

New Bouncy Ball "Thingy"

Grandpa visited me this weekend and brought me a really cool bouncy ball "thingy". Thank you! I'll make sure daddy blows it up for my birthday party!

Here are some pictures that daddy took.

Sickly Girl

I guess after 11 months of being healthy, CC was due her first illness. We're not sure what she's had but it included fever (not too high), restlessness, runny nose, sneezing and coughing. I haven't had much sleep this week so the blog entries have been non-existent these past few days.

Mother's Day Gift

For Mother's Day, CC and her sweet daddy gave me a Flip Video. If you've never heard of it, check it out! It's a great way to take short video clips if you don't have a digital camera (or one that takes video, like me). I'll do my best to upload some of the video clips that we took on Mother's Day!

Mommy's First Mother's Day

Today we celebrated Mother's Day at Aunt Laura and Uncle Jose's house. Aunt Chris, Auntie Anne and Angela (Aunt Laura' sister) were there, too! It was SOOO much fun!

You can see from the pictures that we had a lot of fun!

Busy Saturday!

Today was a busy day. It started with a baby shower at 3:00 for Ms. Teri and Mr. Chris; they're having twins in July. At 5:30, we helped Aunt Sue celebrate her graduation from medical school! Needless to say, I was exhausted by the time we got in the car to go home (around 8:45 pm). I had so much fun playing with all the kids. At the shower, there were 13 kids all under the age of 5. I didn't know what to do with myself. While at Aunt Sue's party, I played with her nephew who's 3; he's a cutie and lots of fun. Mommy and daddy didn't take pictures at Aunt Sue's party; I'll see if Uncle Steve will send me the one's he took. Check out the baby shower pictures...

Bathtime....

is CRAZY! Check out all the letters and numbers that I have. Yippee!

Not a fun birthday!

CC didn't feel too good (tummy ache) on her birthday! We think it might have been some new food she tried.

So, we didn't get any pictures. Here's a picture that I took of her this morning using the web cam on our MAC.

Happy 11 Month Birthday

We can't believe you're already 11 months old; where does the time go? We love you, CC!

Oops!

CC had her first "poop accident" in the bathtub. As any proud father would, Nutz captured the moment with the camera.

Click on the picture for the surprise!

Happy Birthday, Cayleb!

My cousin, Cayleb, turned 7 on May 1. We love and miss you!

Cinco de Mayo!

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant with Auntie Anne. I promise, the margarita didn't belong to me.

Drunk with Boobmilk

Every now and again I get to share the evening ritual with my wife and daughter. It never fails to amaze me how when our little girl is tired and her thirst for momma's nectar has been quenched how she rambles around the bed like a drunken sailor. Pretty funny how a full tummy and ooh 3-4 hours since nap time will effect the little one. I get a kick out of it. Maybe we will record some of these intimate moments and post to the blog.

Hanging out at the beach!

One of the great things about where we live is that the beach is right across the street. This afternoon, mommy and daddy took me to the beach so I could play in the sand for the first time! It was so much fun; I even ate some sand.

Happy Birthday, Sofia!

Today I went to Sofia's 4th birthday party at the zoo! It was a lot of fun!
