3rd Annual Hog Fest 2007

The date has been selected for the 3rd Annual Hog Fest 2007 (aka White Trash Party). Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 28. We've created a blog to keep everyone up-to-date.

and no baby! Yesterday, Nutz and I spent the day with my uncle and his family at the beach. It was an interesting sight...a 9 month pregnant lady in a non-maternity bathing suit. :-) NOTE: There is NO picture to document this day.

CC is still not ready to make her appearance...stay tuned.

Monday is an important day...Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. If you see someone selling red poppies, remember, we wear red poppies on Memorial day in honor of those who died serving the nation during war.

Thanks to all who died in service to our GREAT country and to the families who lost their loved ones.

8 days...nothing new to report

other than my being EXTREMELY pregnant. As excited as I am about meeting CC, I'd rather her "cook" as long as she needs so that she's healthy when she gets here.

She's still not ready. There have been no changes since last week. I think she's scared to show her face...afraid that Nutz and I are going to be responsible for her. :-)

Sofia Bday!

I can't believe that Sofia is 3. I took some pictures at her birthday party.

Belly Update!

Okay...I wouldn't normally do this...but...since I have no stretch marks I thought I'd take a "no clothes" belly pic. I took these pictures last week...she's getting big.

We're down to the two week countdown. Will she come early, on time or late? Let us know what you think. I'm hoping for an early arrival...perhaps late next week?

Should children witness childbirth?

This is hilarious!!

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call. The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-year-old girl to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby. Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked.

Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry.

The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-year-old what she thought about what she had just witnessed.

Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place...smack his ass again!"

Doctor's Appointment Update

My appointment went well...blood pressure is good, weight is good, baby's heartrate is good, etc.

Let's hope she doesn't decide to arrive this weekend...Nutz will be out of town.

On Saturday, our good friend, Bonnie, celebrated her 30th birthday. We had pedicures, lunch and then went to a Murder Mystery dinner. Hope you had a great day, Bonnie!

Update

I had my weekly appointment yesterday...everything is still going good. As for progression, NONE. She's just not ready yet. We have 3 weeks...I'm in no rush. :-)

Pediatrician...

Yesterday, Nutz and I met with CC's pediatrician-to-be. Yes, you heard right. She met with us prior to her birth to get to know us and answer any questions we had. We have a couple of friends who take their children to the same practice and love it there. So, once CC arrives, the doctor will come to the hospital to see her...sounds like a good plan to me.

It's official...

I'm huge! I can't believe how big my belly has gotten these past couple of weeks. I guess CC is packing on the pounds. Hmm...hope she doesn't get too big.

It's getting close....

I can't believe that CC will be here soon...27 days (give or take a few days). I'm starting to get nervous. If Nutz is, he's hiding it well.

Yesterday we went to Babys R' Us to get a few items we still needed....which isn't much...thanks to our family and friends.
