So, the big 40 will be here on Thursday. I welcome the day and the number, neither scare me.
My sweet husband once AGAIN surprised me with a birthday party. He had been organizing this "get-together" for over a month.
How it came together: We scheduled a "date night" to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, or so I thought. On the way there he said we should go to Gordon Biersch for a drink. Of course, I thought we could have a drink at the bar in Ruth's Chris. However, he convinced me otherwise. Good thing or I would have missed my own surprise party. We used valet parking at Ruth's Chris and walked to Gordon Biersch. We found a spot in the bar and Nutz ordered a beer. He said he had to go to the restroom so I hung out chatting to some folks at the bar. When Nutz returned, he said he had some folks he wanted me to meet. I'm still clueless...thinking he wanted me to meet some people from work. We made our way to the dining room (I'm still not "getting it") and walk up to a table. He says, "this is for you." There sat a table-full of my good friends.
Thank you, Nutz! It was a GREAT time and I was truly surprised AGAIN! I love you!
