TGIF in OV

On Friday nights, our little beach community has TGIF parties with live music at the park on the bay. I confess that this is the first time my parents have been. BUT, it was a beautiful night so we decided to enjoy some music after dinner.

I had a GREAT time socializing with all of the people. In fact, my daddy could hardly keep up with me. Oh yeah, did I tell you that I love to dance?

Happy 14 Months

Wow! You're getting to be such a big girl!

A few things that we've noticed about you this past month:

• recognize people (in pictures and in person) and point to them when asked,
• know who "CC" is when asked and points to self,
• point to items (e.g. animals) when reading books,
• identify parts of your body,
• knows what a pirate says and can make the sound (daddy taught her this one),
• say mama and dada regularly and use them appropriately,
• say papa and point to his picture,
• understand when someone asks you to do something (e.g. pick up the book, close the door),
• loves to socialize...the more people, the better (not sure where you get this) :-),
• can give a "high-five," and
• loves the beach (or outdoors, in general).

I'm sure there are more so I'll consult with your dada to see what he remembers.

Sunday at the Beach

On Sunday, we spent the afternoon at the beach. Afterwards, we went to Mr. Lamar and Ms. Jen's house for some good food! They just moved to our neighborhood so I have some new friends to play with, Grace and Walter.

Updated Family Pictures

Today we had our family pictures taken. Actually, the pictures were for CC's 1st birthday. Okay, so we're 2 months behind. What can I say? We've been really busy around here.

Anyways, CC loves the camera and had a great time posing for her pictures today! Thank you Aunt Chris for coming to my house at the last minute and giving me a haircut; mommy is a slacker!!

Tonight after dinner, we spent spent some quality family time on the beach! It was such a beautiful night and I LOVE the beach and my parents.

Anniversary Dinner

Daddy surprised mommy with dinner at Ruth's Chris on Saturday night. Grandpa was in town so I got to hang out with him. Thanks, Grandpa.

Grandpa and Daddy

Grandpa has been sailing his boat from MI since early June. He needed a little help getting it from Atlantic City to our house via the Atlantic Ocean. They left Atlantic City early Thursday morning and made it here Friday afternoon. On Saturday, daddy rode with Grandpa through the Intracoastal to help him get through some locks.

a good white trash wedding. Happy 15th wedding anniversary Chris and Larry! We love you guys and can't wait to meet "Lil' Larry" in January 2009.

Birthday Dinner for Daddy!

Tonight we celebrated daddy's 35th birthday (he's halfway to 70)! Mommy cooked dinner and provided dessert (Cold Stone Creamery Coffee House Crunch™ ice cream cake and coffee ice cream). Mommy took lots of pictures, as usual, so I hope you enjoy them!
