Babies and Bottles

Prior to having CC, I never dreamed that our baby wouldn't take a bottle. Yes, she already has a mind of her own...wonder where she gets that? Needless to say, she wouldn't take a bottle yesterday so I had to come home from work early. Amy is SO great! Rather than let the baby scream, she called me. THANK YOU! Also, my work is very understanding and realizes that I can get just as much done at home as in the office. THANK YOU!

However, it never ceases to amaze me the stress that is placed on a woman to feel the need to choose between her career and her child. I love being a mom but I also love my work! Why is it that most men (I'm not talking about Nutz) don't have to deal with these issues? I guess time hasn't changed that much.

On a side note, I had NO idea that there were so many different bottles, bottle-types and nipples out there! GEEZ! When we were little wasn't there just one type and we drank out of it?

Dinner at our house...

My daddy cooked dinner last night (as he does most nights). We had Japanese Steakhouse Style steak, chicken and stir-fried rice. It was yummy (at least second-hand).

It's a miracle....

but don't get too excited yet. My mommy and daddy finally got me to drink from a bottle. Here are some pictures to prove it!

Yes, my mommy and I were dressed for the Gator game! Go Gators! They beat the Vols, 59-20.

My high chair...my bottle strike...

Well, it's been two weeks since Amy, my nanny, started working. She's great. My mommy really needs to take our picture so she can put it on our site. Anyways, I'm just not into drinking from a bottle. They've tried different bottles and different positions but I'm still on strike. There's nothing like the real thing. Here's a picture of me in my high chair. My mommy put me here thinking I might drink from a bottle in a different setting. I played with it but wore more than I drank. :-)

Our visit with Kennedy...

Today, my parents and I visited with Kennedy, Brayden and her parents. My daddy took all the fixins' and made his famous tacos. The Breaux family came over also.

Tummy Time Together Gym

Look what I got today, a Tummy Time Together Gym. My friend, Evangeline, had one and I loved it! I don't normally like to be on my tummy so mommy thought this might motivate me. Check out my video.

Bic Bic and Me

Here's a picture of me and my mommy's cousin (my 2nd cousin), Bic Bic (aka Vic). If you're wondering where the name, Bic Bic, comes from...it's what all the little kids call her and it's what my mommy's uncle called her when she was little.

What the heck...

It's just hair...Yes, today I had a hair appointment. The plan was to get a color and trim. Well...as I was getting the color done, I found this really cute hairstyle. Needless to say, I came home about 10 lbs lighter. If you like it great, if you don't...keep your opinions to yourself. :-)
