End of day 8...

We have a roof...

CC wasn't looking...

Mommy thought it'd be a good idea to take our picture on Saturday since we were both dressed in "going out" clothes. Well, I didn't cooperate as you can see in the picture that daddy took of us.

We're putting an addition on our house (a room over the garage). They started working on Monday and already have so much done. My mommy and daddy aren't sure what this room will be once it's complete.

2 Month Doctor Appointment

Today I had my two month appointment. Guess what that meant? Yes, I had four shots and some "stuff" to drink. Before I tell "that" story...I weigh 12lbs 10oz and am 23 inches long. Yes, I like to eat!!

Okay...on to the shot story. My mommy is a big chicken so daddy had to help me with the nice nurse, Edna. First, Miss Edna gave me this oral medication. It wasn't too bad. BUT...then I got my first shot. Daddy said my eyes got really big. I cried so hard that I threw up...milk and medicine was coming out my nose and my mouth. It wasn't pretty. Daddy calmed me down and Miss Edna gave me my other shots. Daddy held me in between to make me feel better. For the most part, I didn't cry as much as my mommy thought I would. My mommy took some pictures before the shots and one after...she loves that camera.

As a reward for being such a brave girl, we went to the mall (Auntie Anne went with us). My mommy bought a few things at her favorite store, Ann Taylor Loft, and my daddy exchanged a pair of shorts (Mommy bought the wrong size) for a black belt. Auntie Anne treated us to dinner at Johnny Rockets. This was the first time my mommy and daddy took me to a restaurant. Auntie Anne took a picture to commemorate the event...I even smiled for the camera. After dinner, we came home and my daddy gave me a bath and mommy fed me and put me to bed.

Worn out...

My mommy left daddy and me at home to go get a pedicure. I cried the entire time (almost) that she was gone! By the time I went to sleep (for my afternoon nap), my daddy was exhausted. :-)

I love my Bebe Pod

My mommy knows that I love to sit up. So, she thought she'd see if I was big enough to sit in my Bebe Pod. I was...with a little supervision...I love it!

Another funny one for the women...

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to spare.

As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, th rew off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment.

I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away.

I was a little surprised when the doctor said, "My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't we?" I didn't respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day was normal ... Some shopping, cleaning and cooking.

After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out from the bathroom, "Mummy, where's my washcloth?"

I told her to get another one from the cupboard. She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it.

" I AM NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THAT DOCTOR. EVER!

Kids in Church....cute!

3-year-old Reese:
"Our Father, Who does art in heaven,
Harold is His name.
Amen."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A little boy was overheard praying:
"Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it.
I'm having a real good time like I am."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the christening of his baby brother in church,
Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car.
His father asked him three times what was wrong.
Finally, the boy replied,
"That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home,
and I wanted to stay with you guys."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One particular four-year-old prayed,
"And forgive us our trash baskets
as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Sunday school teacher asked her children as they
were on the way to church service,
"And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"
One bright little girl replied,
"Because people are sleeping."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3.
The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake.
Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.
"If Jesus were sitting here, He would say,
'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.'
Kevin turned to his younger brother and said,
"Ryan, you be Jesus!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A father was at the beach with his children
when the four-year-old son ran up to him,
grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore
where a seagull lay dead in the sand.
"Daddy, what happened to him?" the son asked.
"He died and went to Heaven," the Dad replied.
The boy thought a moment and then said,
"Did God throw him back down?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A wife invited some people to dinner.
At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said,
"Would you like to say the blessing?"
"I wouldn't know what to say," the girl replied.
"Just say what you hear Mommy say," the wife answered.
The daughter bowed her head and said,
"Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?"
