Daddys' Girls
Tonight, we spent some time at the Behr house to say "see ya later" to Larry. He's off to Leavenworth, KS for a year. :-( I really wanted to get a picture of the guys and their girls. Since Jose has more girls than hands, Sofia decided to sit on Uncle Nutz's lap. We all have pretty and healthy girls; very blessed!

Momma and Daddy love
Well the little girl has taken a liking to Mommy and daddy smooching! Yesterday when we all finally got home, little CC was in daddy's arms getting some smooches, momma came over for some smooches and the wee one liked the sight of mommy and daddy smooching. So as soon as we would break apart, Cupcake would push our two faces together for more smooches. Cute, I like kissing momma!

Growing up
Daddy's little girl is growing up. I took cupcake to the pool this evening and of course she loved it. She hesitated a little before getting in however once in she did not want to leave. for fun she would climb up the ladder walk around to the edge of the pool and ease back in and repeat with daddy assistance. After a dozen or so evolutions, she was on her own and doing just fine climbing up the ladder, walking around, easing back into the pool and moving along the edge to get to the ladder. Almost brought a tear to my eye!

Aunt Amy and Uncle Jeff had us over for dinner on the 23rd. It was so much fun! As you can see from the pictures, I was the only little girl there. Kaleb R., George S., Devin, Cayleb, and Dalton...a bunch of boys.
Aunt Amy had beautiful Christmas decorations but especially liked her Florida Gator Christmas tree; it was AWESOME!!
Dinner was delicious and we had a GREAT time! Thanks for having us!

18 Month Check Up
Click the picture to see a larger version. This afternoon, CC had her 18 month checkup. She was the perfect little girl while Dr. V examined her. I kept wondering what happened to the "real" CC.
Her stats:
weight - 25 lbs 10 oz
height - 31 1/4 "
height - 31 1/4 "
head - 19
She's getting to be such a big girl. She decided to "show off" to the doctor that she knew how to put on her socks and shoes all by herself. I think Dr. V was impressed. Also, each time CC goes for her wellness checks, she gets a book. As you all know, she LOVES books. Dr. V asked her to point out items on the page; CC knew them. She's smart like her daddy, I mean mommy. :-)

Auntie Anne's Going Away Party
Today we had a "going away" party for our good friend, Anne. It's a bittersweet time for us; we're happy for her next adventure but sad that she won't be next door.
We had a great turnout. Nutz made his famous tacos and they were delicious as ever. As a "don't forget us" gift, I made a video, A Story of Anne...and her friends, for Anne. I included pictures (and lots of them) of our years (still can't believe we've known each other since 2004).

Proof of Concept
As you all know, our daughter is making fine progress in communications. Yesterday afternoon Crackerz and I were quizzing Crazy Crumbz on her vocabulary. Can you say, Cow, I love you, sheep, nose etc. Well daddy piped in and said, can you say "fart"? Without missing a beat, Crazy Crumbz stopped what she was doing, looked at daddy, slightly squatted and squeezed out an air biscuit. Daddy laughed for about six minutes! You will have to go to a previous post and read about her first experience doing something similar.
Memory Lane

Do you remember when? Here are the rules...
1. As a comment in my blog, leave a memory that you and I (Crackerz, Nutz, and/or CC) had together. It does not matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything that you remember. If we are only blogging friends or if you're a blog hopper who happens upon my blog regularly...leave a comment. There must be a reason you keep stopping by. Say something! If you don't have a blog or don't know how to sign in, sign up for an account.

Go Gators!
This afternoon, we had a little get together to watch the FL vs FSU game. The game was boring (FL beat FSU) but I had a lot of fun playing with my friend, Ben.
Grandma and Grandpa Visit
Grandma and Grandpa were able to join us for Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have them here (together). It was such a beautiful day yesterday that we walked to the beach and took some pictures.
Thanks for visiting and come back soon!

Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa
While grandma and grandpa were here for Thanksgiving, we decided to celebrate Christmas with them. We picked out our Christmas tree and opened presents. Mommy and daddy let me open my "big' presents that Santa Claus brought early.

Today we hosted a baby shower "party" for our good friends, Chris and Larry. Unfortunately, Larry couldn't be here; his mother was in the hospital. On a postive note, Chris had LOTS of family members from TN and MD.

Growing up...
First off, it is not I who is growing up, I have yet to leave the phase of being a 12 yr old. However, our little girl is getting bigger in more ways than one. I sort of don't want to write this post for fear of jinxing myself, however it is an interesting stage in our daughter's life and needs to be captured. So, now at bed time, our little girl likes to drink a bottle of warm milk; thank you Miss Amy. Usually I would hold our little girl in my arms and rock her, showering her with kisses and serenading her until she drifts off to the land of baby sleep.
Times they are a changing....
Our little girl now "shotguns" this bottle of this liquid sedative and is ready to rock! When she is done drinking, she points to the crib and wants to be placed in it. So, daddy complies with his daughter's request and does exactly that and leaves her to milk-induced dreams. I am sure I will miss holding my little girl in my arms.

Yes, mommy's a little behind in her postings. For some reason, she's been really busy with work since we returned from AZ. Here are some November pictures for you...
Steve Doocy Book Signing

Today, mommy and daddy took me to meet Steve Doocy. He has a new book, Tales from the Dad Side so we purchased a book and had him sign it! He was just as nice in person as he appears to be on his tv show, Fox & Friends.

Here's CC's picture...she was scared of Santa this year so daddy joined her. :-(

Bedtime Follies
Of the many fun things Crazy Crumbz does, especially at bed time, is the trying of the pants, or shorts or what ever else she can get her little fingers on. She will pull down a box of clothes and begin to try on the pants or shorts. However her attention span is quite short. She will put on one pant leg then grab another pair and put on one leg. Before you know it she has six pairs of pants or shorts all on one leg. With the same determiniation, she will take the pants off then start all over again with a fresh batch of clothes. Kind of fun but dont get into her way. She is very determined and focused while trying on her clothes.

First Words
So there we were one morning in Phoenix, laying happily as a family in the bed snuggling and asking Crazy Crumbs to show us her feet, hands, tongue etc. Anyhow We began asking her what different things say, like lions and pirates. Well anyhow, i asked her, "Crazy Crumbs, can you say fart?" Well without a hitch, Crazy Crumbs squeezed out an air biscuit that made daddy proud. A fart on demand, life just cannot get much better than that, daddy's little girl. Well Crackerz and I laughed about this for about two days. We will have to tell this story to Crazy Crumbs future husband.

Pumpkin Patch
Mommy and daddy took me to the pumpkin patch today. It was so much fun walking through the pumpkins trying to decide which ones to get. We ended up with four pumpkins of various sizes. Mommy has them on the steps on the front porch.
P.S. To see what I looked like last year at the pumpkin patch, check out my photo album.

An understanding
It is cool to see little Crazy Crumbz develop into a person. Her laugh, her babbling, and her sense of humor. She definitly knows more than what she is able to express. Everynight during her bath, I say "Crazy Crumbz, it is time to rinse your melon" and I would lean her onto her back into the water to rinse the soap from her hair. Recently, when I say, " it is time to rinse your melon," she will sit if standing and begin to lay back while waiting for a daddy assist.
Also, during bath time she has started communicating more. When it is time to take her out of the water I will drape a towel over my chest, pick her up, spin her around, place her on my chest, and wrap her up. Now when I get the towel ready to go, I tell Crazy Crumbz to turn around. She turns her back towards me and I scoop her out into perfect position. I hope she listens to me when she is 16...
Hey look it is bath time..

Eli
Eli is such a HOOT! He's 3 and loves to wear "his" Florida Sod shirts and it's rare that you'll find him in anything else! I couldn't resist so I had to chase him around like the paparazzi on Friday night! As you can tell, I had fun doing it.

Dinner with Bella
This afternoon we had dinner with Bella and her family. We missed her birthday party since we were in DC. It'd been awhile since I've seen Bella but we acted as though we'd seen each other yesterday. We had fun playing with each other and I can't wait to see her again soon.
Neptune Festival
This morning we went to the Neptune Festival. There were lots of people so it was a great place to people watch. Mommy didn't take many pictures but here are a couple of me taking a snack break.
